Daintree National Park,Far North Queensland

The Daintree Rainforest in far north Queensland, is north of Cairns and Port Douglas. It’s part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Site of Queensland. The Daintree National Park is one of the few lowland rainforests locations left in Australia. With the chance to see the endangered Cassowary and formidable Estuarine crocodile in their native environments it makes this location an extraordinary experience. The concentration of endemic animals in the Daintree Rainforest is so profound, it is not found anywhere else in the world.  More than half of all the bird species that are present in Australia are found in this forest. It has an abundance of over 3000 species of plants, of these 395 are listed as rare or threatened species.

The Daintree National Park is an ancient and mystical place. It starts in the wet tropics and leads you all the way to the tip of Great Barrier Reef, Cape Tribulation. The Daintree is the place where the forest meets the Great Barrier reef. This makes it an extraordinary lush, dense, flourishing epic destination. This location is a place where you can go and experience ancient roots and view animals that span back 135 million years.
