Van Life Australia – this is why!

Van Life an Australian perspective

It’s hard to say if van life is taking off in Australia. The reality is we are a surfing nation with vast natural beauty and we have been living on the road, in vans, caravans, cars and tents for decades. With that said this is all the motivation you need to grab a van and travel Australia.

Having lived for the better part of two years in a van, my Van Life Australia journey started well before the hashtag was invented. For those who have never experienced living in a van, you will be surprised exactly how many people are out there doing it.

While the days of parking your van on the foreshore at Byron Bay may have gone there is still a vast country to explore. We still like Byron, but it is probably getting too crowded and expensive these days anyway. The beauty of travelling Australia is you can basically park and stay anywhere, as long as your not trespassing on private property or there are no council by laws prohibiting overnight staying.

Whether you staying on the southern beaches over summer or avoiding the cold by heading to the tropics, Van Life in Australia is well ingrained. At AdventureOZ we are dedicated to presenting the best van life content we can find. So if you have a great little video (2-3 mins) flick it our way.
